Call it a fat Elvis tribute: Lafitte chef Russel Jackson, knowing Elvis Presley’s love of peanut butter sandwiches and already having a foie gras BLT on his menu, used Elvis’s birthday on Saturday to add something new to the menu, at least temporarily. It’s called the Elvis Lives sandwich, and as SFoodie notes, it’s kind of a PBJB&F;, with warm peanut butter, muscato jam, foie gras, and crispy bacon. That’s enough to stop even a king’s heart.
