Apparently taking a cue from Andrew Zimmern (who today lists New York favorites like Congee Bowery, M&I; International, and Kum Gang San for the Post), Daily News intern-turned-reporter Irving DeJohn dabbles in fried beef brains at Cheburechnaya in Rego Park, for the first installment of his “Quirkiest Cuisines in Queens” series. Sure, it’s a stunt, but it’s good to see Queens getting some love in this time of Brooklyn, Brooklyn, Brooklyn. Our suggestion for the next installment: Fried popcorn and sea-slug soup!
