Yea verily, we say unto thee that there’s no doubt Yards Brewing Company’s Ale’s of the Revolution, the trio of beers brewed from original recipes penned by George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, are pretty cool. Beer buffs and patriots alike have been enjoying these colonial-era brews since Yards first started making them back in 2003. What’s strange is after all these years, the folks at Wired just got hip to them, and have published a piece in the magazine’s December issue about the cutting edge “reverse engineering” that Yards owner Tom Kehoe and his brewers employ to recreate the suds our Founding Fathers used to get crocked on while fighting the redcoats.
