We weren’t invited last year, and once again our invitation to the French Laundry’s annual holiday party appears to have been lost in the mail. But we’re *really* happy for our friends at Bunrab who got to have all the fun with Thomas this past weekend. Also, they had a sumptuous dinner at the Laundry in connection with this new magazine called Finesse being produced under the restaurant’s brand and featuring contributions from Ruth Reichl and Michael Ruhlman.
We don’t get what the magazine’s all about, but we’re salivating over the photos of the nine-course meal that seems to have accompanied the mag’s launch, including this scallop and black truffle “tart” below.
