Triple Crown Has a Closing Date, Park Merced Gets a New Taqueria, and More

Castro: Grub Street broke the news last month that Triple Crown is getting some new owners and will transform into Rebel early next year. Now we have a closing date, which will be right after Triple Crown has a big New Year’s Eve bash. [SFoodie]
Park Merced: The taqueria project mentioned earlier this year called Taqueria Del Reforma, or Reforma Taqueria, which is a joint venture between the Drolopas Brothers (Ebb & Flow) and Vincent Schofield, appears to be moving forward at 55 Cambon Drive. Schofield, after leaving Ebb & Flow, recently took the exec job at Nombe. Look for the taqueria to open in the new year. [Grub Street, Earlier]
Berkeley: 50-year-old “relic” restaurant Giovanni (2420 Shattuck) has reopened with its original owner at the helm. [East Bay Express]

Napa: The previously announced deal to sell Martini House to P.F. Chang founder Paul Fleming has fallen through, and the restaurant remains closed. [Scoop]
