Dieter Marcia Gagliardi says of all the food options, “I need five stomachs”; David Kinch says, “We’re really, truly creating a cuisine of terroir, a cuisine of a sense of place”; and Jamie Lauren — who since shooting this has defected to L.A. — brags “everybody [here]’s into food.”
In a separate video devoted just to him, Wolfgang Puck tries to give Los Angeles full credit for inventing California cuisine, saying, “Because we don’t have any history… a lot of things have happened here that couldn’t happen on the East Coast.” Hi, Wolfgang. We’re San Francisco. Nice to meet you.
