Several months ago, we revealed that Chelsea’s tiny Socarrat Paella Bar had taken the old Ghenet space in Nolita and planned to open a larger outpost there. Yesterday it did just that. Owner Lolo Manso tells us he’s added a couple of paellas, including a lobster, calamari, and cod variety, as well as a lamb and eggplant one, and he’s also added a selection of $3 montaditos. Though this location shares a chef with the original, there are other changes to the tapas menu, so take a look below and tour the 60-seat dining room via our slideshow. Socarrat Nolita will be open daily from 6 till 11:30 p.m., and here’s the best part: This location takes reservations.
