Scott Harris is a restaurant opening machine. Sure, we knew about Gennaro’s, Doughboys, and even the proposed meatball joint. But apparently that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Chicago Magazine confirms that there are (at least) two other projects that he’s behind and plans to open before the end of the year. On December 14 he’ll open DiSotto Enoteca in the Gold Coast, just downstairs from Francesca’s on Chestnut. That one makes sense, but the second one is really confusing.
He’s also behind Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar in the far western suburb of St. Charles. The inexpensive Mexican joint will take the place of T-Bones Steakhouse. For help, Harris roped in folks from Mixteco and the now closed Platiyo. His foray into a new cuisine plans to open on December 8.
