Sazon, Culver City’s Latin fusion restaurant that claims to have “a little of everything,” can now add booze to that list. Following a lengthy process to gain the city’s approval, chef Claudia Kihui lets us know that the restaurant is now serving a selection of beer and wine along with its mofongo, moles, and empanadas, with selections reflecting the same Latin spread as the menu. Kihui says she’ll have three Californian wines, as well as bottles from Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, while beer will veer towards Negro Modelo, Dos Equis, and offerings from El Salvador and Spain. “Definitely no Budweiser,” she promises.
