Rum Bar Revamps its Cocktail Offerings for the Holidays

Photo: Rum Bar

Last we mentioned Rum Bar, the Center City refuge for rummies, rumrunners and those in need of Caribbean-style relief from the daily grind, it had just hired Luis Lara as its chef. We bring it up again today, because it’s just rolled out a slew of new, seasonally inspired cocktails that are designed to make you jolly. Owner and chief mixologist Adam Kanter took inspiration from familiar flavors of the holiday season and the bar’s 190 different types of rum to create the new collection of cocktails. The Kringle Daiquiri, which is made with Blackbeard Spiced Rum, Demerara syrup, lime juice, cranberry bitters, a hint of allspice and peppermint, and the traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink Coquito, Bacardi Superior Rum, cream of coconut, cinnamon and vanilla are just two of the new list’s highlights.
