If we all lived in Tommy Up’s world, today he would be on his way to entering Iron Chef’s veritable pantheon of culinary giants, replacing Jose Garces, and going forward all episodes with him would be Battle Burger. At least that’s what you can draw from the tweets the burger baron has been beaming in the run-up to the annual Philebrity Awards. Up’s P.Y.T. beat out Garces Restaurant Group for “Business of the Year” a day after announcing he would accept Garces’ surrender and Iron Chef title. As you can probably figure, that surrender and transfer of title isn’t going to happen.

Somewhat related, Citypaper/Meal Ticket’s Drew Lazor beat Marc Vetri, as well as heavy hitters like Marcie Turney and Valarie Safran and Han Dynasty’s Han Chiang, for “Phoodie of the Year.”
