In more Pasadena news, the Barn Burner Texas BBQ on Fair Oaks has shuttered. The mega restaurant known for really mediocre food but a loud, raucous barn-y scene, was owned by Blair Salisbury, who owns the Pasadena El Cholo outpost (his family owns the other El Cholos), which was next door until recently. Maybe it closed because he moved El Cholo to Paseo Colorado? Sign out front says “closed for renovations,” but the phone is disconnected. No more dried pulled pork for you.
