FarmShop Starts Lunch and Plans To Bring A Bit of Ad Hoc Home to Brentwood

Jeff Cerciello, the longtime main man of Thomas Keller’s dining group, started serving lunch yesterday at his new Brentwood restaurant FarmShop. We have the menu below, which tempts us with a pastrami sandwich with braised kale, a warm dungeness crab salad with sun chokes, and buttermilk panna cotta with kiwis, pistachios, and orange for dessert, even if a nineteen dollar steak sandwich makes Earl’s Gourmet Grub’s five-bites-and-they’re-gone offerings suddenly look affordable. Dinner is still hingng on approval for a beer and wine license, but hopes are high it’s coming soon. Once it does, Cerciello plans to revisit a tradition from his Ad Hoc days with a buttermilk fried chicken night. Should save his fans a looong drive to Yountville.
