Blind Items

Guess Which Recently Remodeled Hayes Valley Restaurant Is for Sale

It’s time for everybody’s favorite blind item guessing game! Via Restaurant Realty we find that a “newly remodeled” restaurant in a “prime Hayes Valley location,” with an open kitchen and seating for about 60 is up for grabs at an asking price of $195,000. Other clues: 2,500 square feet, and it’s open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Could it be Café Altano? Perhaps our most-favorite-named new restaurant of 2010, Ristorante Allegro? Oh, but this place has $700,000 in sales…

And elsewhere in town (they won’t say where but it’s a “prime neighborhood”), a popular bar with a fireplace, cocktail lounge, large dancefloor, DJ booth, and over 3,000 square feet of space has been reduced in price to $585,000. Other clues: several private rooms with their own bars, booth seating, and they’re only open 9:30 to 2 a.m. seven nights a week? Feel free to take some guesses.
