Serious Eats has it that Café Grumpy, which already has outposts in Chelsea and Brooklyn, is opening a new location on Essex Street. That’s good news for Lower East Siders in search of caffeine, because it also sounds like the shuttered, Four Loko–peddling Xiao Ye will soon be turned into a taqueria.
