Chicago Magazine just can’t quit with lists of 40. While we especially dug the Best Chicago Restaurants Ever, they’ve also been counting down the best movies filmed here, best sports moments, best buildings, and best recording artists. Their latest list is the 40 Reasons to Love Chicago, and number 23 is “Because there’s amazing food on almost every corner.” And how do they prove that love? Well, by picking 40 of their favorite dishes from around the city. It’s really a celebration of our plentiful neighborhood joints, and includes Jimmy’s Red Hots, Smak-Tak, and Birrieria Zaragoza.
