It’s hard to believe that the Chicago French Market has been open for a year, but it’s already gearing up for two days of celebrations. Stop by today or tomorrow for free tote bags, gift certificates, and loads of tastings from the different vendors. We were able to get a preview of the festivities last night, sampling products from around the market, including macaroons from Vanille Patisserie, cured meat from Fumare Meats, and, of course, wine. But perhaps the most impressive item was the Arc de Triomphe clad in pastries. You’ll have to believe us. Check out our slideshow of the market’s first year.
