Mr. Bauer isn’t so in love with BarbersQ anymore, returning for an update after giving it three stars back in ‘07. He says that under new chef Joey Ray it’s “it’s [still] a barbecue restaurant with a very refined pedigree” but “the batter doesn’t adhere as well” on the fried chicken [for shame!], and he says, “I don’t think the restaurant is as good as when it opened.” The verdict: two stars.
