A Priest, a Rabbi, and a Native American Walk Into New York Burger Co.’s Opening

Gotta admit, we haven’t seen this one before. A press release announces that before New York Burger Co. finally opens at 470 West 23rd Street, a rabbi as well as a trio of Buddhist, Catholic, and Episcopal priests will gather to bless the cursed space that housed Il Bordello for less than a year (and before that, various other establishments including the Flamingo Room). Also, there’ll be a “Native American Purification and Cleansing Ritual to be held privately, with representatives from the American Indian Community House of New York.” After considerable delay, the chain’s third location will open December 14.
