A Holiday Market With Booze, Pies-N-Thighs, and Candy-Cane Cupcakes

Here’s another one to add to the list of holiday pop-ups that also includes Gap and Cool Hunting’s Brooklyn-y bazaar. From December 17 till 23 (11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily), the good folks at the Hester Street Fair are taking a break from their winter hiatus to turn the Open House Gallery at 201 Mulberry Street into a “Big Social Holiday Market,” complete with 40 vendors. Of course, it’s the food ones we’re interested in, so let’s get to ’em.

We’re told there’ll be grub from Skim Kim (kimchee hot pies), Real Vegan (vegan paté), Macaron Parlour (macarons with hot chocolate), Robicelli’s (candy-cane cupcakes!), and Luke’s Lobster (the usual). Plus Pies-N-Thighs will be doing their fried chicken and maple-syrup biscuits, meaning downtowners won’t have to trek up to the Holiday Market at Columbus Circle to get their P-N-T fix. But here’s what might just put this above the other holiday markets: mulled wine, hot toddies, and spiked cocoa from the bartenders at BEast. Between that and the eggnog cupcakes, you should be set.
