Each year, a little lodge on Nob Hill hosts a week of dinners featuring a host of proteins that Andrew Zimmern fans clamor to try. That’s right, it’s Wild Game Week at Big 4, and where better to eat some nutty, gamy stuff really than a dark, wood-paneled room with a lot of hunter green touches. This year’s menu, which we share with you below, features several amazing items like a pancetta-crusted tenderloin of Himalayan yak; a “wild paella” with rabbit-rattlesnake sausage and frog legs; and (get this!) piranha chops. We would argue, though, at this late date, that goat is neither provocative nor “wild game.” But anyway, the fun starts November 9, and goes through November 13. Make reservations here.
