Alain Giraud, who recently had to close his Santa Monica brasserie Anisette, will be back in the kitchen for one week, with a guest-stint at Pasadena’s Cheval Blanc Bistro from November 30th to December 4th. The chef has stayed busy lately, with an appearance at Test Kitchen and preparing a course at Providence’s Bocuse d’Or dinner this week, as he gets ready to open a new French restaurant, Maison Giraud, in Pacific Palisades. During his short run in Pasadena, Giraud will be assisted by Kornelija Welles, a manager at Parkway Grill, who a press release informs us once cooked with the chef at Bastide. Check out Giraud’s farm-driven menu for Cheval Blanc below and make reservations at 626-577-4141.
