Tonight: Country Delight at Pub & Kitchen and Royal Tavern Celebrates its Eighth Anniversary

Everyone knows the eve of Thanksgiving is perhaps the biggest amateur night next to New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day. That’s why the really good stuff is going down tonight. The venerable Pub & Kitchen is getting it on tonight with something its calling Country Delight. To the sound of classic country tunes, Chef Jonathan Adams will serve up buttermilk fried chicken, Anson Mills grits with honey and butter, cider braised greens and more. To accompany tonight’s menu additions, Pub & Kitchen is offering $3 cans of beer and will also debut its first barrel-aged cocktail, a 22-day American oak aged Manhattan.

Across town, the Royal Tavern celebrates its eighth anniversary tonight. Owners Stephen Simons and Dave Frank are serving cupcakes, popcorn and will offer a special selection of beers. They will also announce the winner of their build your own sandwich contest. The party starts at 5 p.m. and goes all night.
