The Museum of Science’s Let’s Talk About Food series will feature New York Times columnist Mark Bittman this Wednesday, November 3rd. Former celebrity appearances in the two-year series include food critic Corby Kummer and area chefs like Oleana’s Ana Sortun, Rocca’s Tiffani Faison, and Tony Maws of Craigie on Main. Bittman’s lecture looks to draw from his 2008 book titled Food Matters. The lecture’s name, “Food Matters: A Guide to Conscious Eating,” tipped us off. As the lecture title suggests, Bittman will tackle the topic of eating in a way that is better for one’s own health and the health of the planet. And it just might serve as a good platform for plugging his September release The Food Matters Cookbook: 500 Revolutionary Recipes for Better Living.

If you can’t get tickets for Wednesday’s lecture, don’t worry. Bittman will be back in Boston on the 15th of this month for an appearance at the Charles Mosesian Theater in Watertown, courtesy of The New Center for Arts and Culture.
