The good news: Dominique Crenn is doing a test dinner of sorts for Atelier Crenn, her new restaurant opening in January in the former Plumpjack space. The bad news: It’s in L.A. As our Grub Street cohort down south reports, Crenn will be appearing on Sunday, December 5, as part of the Test Kitchen pop-up at the Town House (9575 W. Pico Boulevard). You can see the full menu here, and if you happen to be headed down there this weekend there may still be space at $60 a head. But for those staying around the Bay, it’s intriguing to note the dishes, like “Oysters and winter nuances”; lightly flamed venison with rye, buckwheat, and pickled legumes; and sweetbreads with marrow and bouillon — any of which may be making an appearance on the opening menu at Atelier Crenn come January.
