
Tomorrow the newly christened Khyber Pass Pub, the former rock venue turned beer bar and southern comfort foodery, will begin slinging dishes from its newly penned menu. The official debut is still a week out — Khyber dudes Stephen Simons and Dave Frank have a grand opening planned for November 18 — but until then, Old City’s last bastion of cool will offer a condensed menu and daily specials. Chef Mark McKinney’s menu boasts Southern specialties, like fired chicken, po-boys and brisket and pork butts slowly smoked for up to 14 hours.
