GQ got Jean Georges pastry honcho and Top Chef Just Desserts’ judge Johnny Iuzzini to name his picks for its “10 Essentials” web series. They’re interesting! Scattered among ho-hum inclusions like an immersion circulator and Concord grapes are things like a Ducati bike, his cabin in the woods, and four chainsaws. The most troubling item, though, is his choice of kitchen footwear: Blundstone boots. Doesn’t he know that wearing boots in the kitchen can lead to terrible things? [GQ]
