Finally, Justice Gets Served in Zabumba Murder Case

As much as we’re dying to see the menu at Red Medicine (which Grant Achatz offered was already open when visiting L.A.) or experience FarmShop or taste Nancy Silverton burgers, something happened in the local restaurant world that we’ve been anticipating even more eagerly. The husband of slain Zabumba owner Monica Beresford Redman was finally, freaking finally, arrested yesterday at his home in Palos Verdes. What happened?

It was way back in April that Monica was found murdered at the Cancun resort the couple was staying at. Following husband Bruce Beresford Redman’s quasi-legal return to the States, it appeared the suspect, a producer of Pimp My Ride and Survivor, was living unmolested in Palos Verdes, while the normally cheerful Palms Brazilian restaurant flew a “Justice for Monica” banner on its side. People reports that justice might finally be served, if a little cold, as the murder suspect has been transferred to federal custody and faces his first hearing today.
