Someone on Yelp claims to be in possession of Chicago’s first Michelin guide, some two days before it is supposed to be released. Calling himself, David “Primo” R., he says he was shipped one in the mail. He could, of course, be making all of this up, but what’s odd is how ambivalent he seems to be about the whole ordeal. After putting up what he says is the full list late last night, he posted a few more times about what people thought about the picks. It was only a few hours ago that he addressed how he got the book: “I don’t know if it is a slip up or not, but the book has already been mailed out and it is in the physical possession of some of those who have pre-ordered it.” Time Out Chicago checked with the local Barnes & Noble, and they are denying that they have any copies. We’ll have to wait until Wednesday before we know whether this is legit. If you so choose, you can take a sneak peek here. Considering that everyone might start doing this, we’ll hold off any thoughts about the picks. [312 Dining Diva]
