A tipster’s been teasing Grub Street all week with promises of details on Barbra Streisand’s visit to Philly last weekend for the National Museum of American Jewish History opening gala. Today that tipster came through. On Friday night Babs and hubby James Brolin stopped in Daniel Stern’s sky-high R2L for dinner. They ordered flatbreads, salads and split an order of lobster paella, one of R2L’s new dishes for fall. Stern and his wife Jen graciously greeted the two stars at their table, and Brolin invited Stern’s mother, who was on hand, to sit down and join them for a short friendly chat. Admiring guests and fans are said to have kept a distance from Streisand and Brolin’s table, but rose to their feet to watch the two leave the restaurant.
