
So now that it’s official that Laurent Gras will not be returning to L2O, Chicago magazine took the opportunity to see how the three Michelin-starred restaurant was getting on without him. Mostly that means talking to new chef Francis Brennan. He claims to have already changed about “40 to 50 percent” of the menu, and wants to bring a “spirit of warmth and generosity to the overall experience.” Plus he’s added “more truffles” and “more seasonal items.” If you’re looking for some serious chef drama there’s not much here, though he does say that the shabu course is “a little more exciting.” [Chicago Mag]
