Red Barn Roasters Can’t Catch a Break

The National Park Service has a $7 million visitor’s center to build in Faneuil Hall, leaving Red Barn Roasters and nine other shops out in the cold. A report from the Globe observes that “It’s the third time in five years that Red Barn has lost a prime cafe spot.” The blows dealt to the Hopinkton-based coffee roasters have all been real-estate-related — including previous displacements caused by a Hummer dealership and a Hopinkton developer. Bagelville in Quincy Market and the Longwood food court Red Barn Coffee Roasters café serve as Boston’s remaining outlets. [Globe]
