With the Phillies extending their season and heading into the National League Division Series tonight starting at 5:07 p.m., it’s feeling a little bit like de ja vu all over again. And if like many Phils fans without tickets to the big game, you’re looking for a place to kick back with some food and drinks while watching the Phightin’s trounce the Cincinnati Reds, Grub Street has a few suggestions. At Jose Graces’ Distrito, the game — and every one the Phils are in after it — will be shown on three different screens in the downstairs cantina. Upstairs in the lounge, it will be projected on a giant screen. In addition to showing the game, Distrito will also be handing out free cans of Tecate every time the Phillies hit a home run.
• South Philly’s venerable Pub on Passyunk East (aka the Pope) is slinging $2 foot-long wieners during tonight’s game and every post season Phillies playoff game to come.
• At Sampan, Michael Schulson is offering $2 satay, kobe dogs and burgers, and will have the game on outside at Graffiti Bar where the heaters will be on.
• Percy Street Barbecue will show the game on TVs at the bar and in the dining room, and is offering an all local draught selection that’s marked down to $3 pint.
• Bob and Barbara’s is showing the game on two flat screen TVs and like any other night, offering fans a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a shot of Jim Beam for $3.
