The four adorable Norwegian chefs that form The Flying Culinary Circus appeared at Surfas last week. They didn’t fly, parachute in, or set each other on fire, like we’ve heard they do on occasion, and their dance routine was a little hokey, but they did pull-off a pretty astonishing feat: Cooking four classic Scandinavian dishes in under 30 minutes, under the duress of having their bottoms pinched by a tipsy Ileana Douglas look-a-like who must have confused their cooking demo with Thunder From Down Under. Grub Street L.A. put together a quick highlight real showing these chefs-for-hire in action at Surfas. Check out the antics of Trond, Hans, Tor, Ringo, and Mathias as they joke in cute accents and whip-up smoked salmon, scallop ceviche, salmon kiss, and a lamb and cabbage stew in record time.
