It seemed inevitable that Mario’s Pizza on Houston Street would have to black out its image of Super Mario, but get this: Over in Elmhurst, there’s another location at 40–52 82nd Street, and not only are they still rocking the logo on the storefront and menu, but there are Super Mario dolls hanging in the front window. Mario has three lives in the real world, too! (Except that on the website, everyone’s favorite plumber is replaced by some other mustachioed dude.)
