Simply the Best, According to Time Out and the Voice

A week after Time Out drops its “100 Best Dishes and Drinks” of the year (and a day after Esquire picks its Best New Restaurants), the Village Voice drops its “Best Of” issue. In addition to top-ten lists from critics Robert Sietsema (Mile End is his top pick), Sarah DiGregorio (Tamarind Tribeca is hers), and Rebecca Marx (Txikito), we get picks for best hamburger (Sietsema thinks the Commodore; DiGregroio thinks Kaz An Nou; Marx thinks 5 Napkin), Best Fried Chicken (EN Japanese Brasserie; Peaches HotHouse; Pies-N-Thighs), and best pizza (Totonno’s; Campo de’ Fiori; Pizza A Casa). Among the categories in which the critics actually agreed: Casa Calamari has the best spaghetti and meatballs, Strip House has the best fries, and Intelligencia has the best coffee beans.

Best Of: Food & Drink [VV]
Best Of: Bars & Clubs [VV]
