Breaking up may be hard to do, but the aftermath? Perhaps not so much. SNL co-stars and newly minted couple Abby Elliott and Fred Armisen — who is still pretty fresh out of his separation with Elisabeth Moss — engaged in some PDA on a date at Riposo’s uptown location. Downtown at the Lion, Jim Carrey (who split with Jenny McCarthy a few months back) and Noah Emmerich took two ladies on a double date. The rest of this week’s celebrity dates, birthdays, and random lunches, straight ahead.

Nuela: Halle Berry made sure her meal at Nuela (roast lamb; red wine to drink) was of tip-top quality: She shared a table with the restaurant’s owner Stephane Bibeau. [JustJared]
Plein Sud: One of Gossip Girl’s real-life couples, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr, started a mid-week date-night with a dinner at Plein Sud. Ed’s chest-hair was, as always, also present. [JustJared]
Popbar: Bethenny Frankel filmed scenes for the new season of her RHONY spin-off at Popbar, enjoying a pistachio popbar topped with dark chocolate. There goes her calorie count for the week month. [Grub Street]
Riposo 72: With more than a few make-out sessions on a date this week, Fred Armisen and Abby Elliott continue to confirm they’re way more than just SNL co-stars . [Page Six/NYP]
Sant Ambroeus: Kiefer Sutherland and a female friend lunched alfresco on Sant Ambroeus’ noodles. [Bauer Griffin]
The Lion: Jim Carrey got his flirt on with his dining date during their meal and at the bar afterward. Also in-house earlier in the week, Sir Alex Ferguson (manager of British football team Manchester United) proved more recognizable than Madonna, even with Anne Hathaway as her dining companion.
