When Le Bernardin got a C-worthy score on its initial health inspection, managing director David J. Mancini told us he’d have a lot to say about it later (the restaurant ended up scoring an A), and apparently he did indeed try to give the judge at his hearing an earful. But the judge shut him down and the only thing quoted in a Times piece about the nightmare of these hearings is: “To move from a C to an A in two weeks — there’s no consistency.” We hear ya, buddy.
