Philly Gets LaFrieda, But New York Still Waiting for Tony Luke’s

If L.A. can have a high-end Pat LaFrieda burger, so should Philly. That’s why, according to Philadelphia magazine, the new Rittenhouse Square restaurant Pub & Kitchen spent a year and a half “negotiating, wheedling and, eventually, tasting with La Frieda” to create an $18 burger that’s glazed with bone marrow and topped with fried onions. Congrats, Philly! Now will you return the meaty favor and tell us when and where that New York location of Tony Luke’s is ever going to open? The website says it’s still “to be announced.”
