While the Daily News reports that over 100 people gathered at a vigil for slain Branded Saloon bartender Chai Eun Hillmann, the Post writes on senseless violence at the Stonewall Inn. A couple of Staten Islanders are said to have cornered a 34-year-old D.C. visitor in the bathroom there and used a homophobic slur before pummeling him. They were apprehended and are being charged with a hate crime. This, folks, is why we’re glad New York isn’t one of those states that have started allowing guns in bars.
