Lure’s New Winepub, Burger & Barrel, Fully Opened for Lunch, Brunch, and Dinner

A couple of weeks ago, the team behind Lure Fishbar (John McDonald, Josh Pickard, and Josh Capon) opened their new “winepub,” Burger & Barrel (or B&B; for short), in the old Centrovino space, about a block away from Lure. Despite relatively little fanfare, the burger joint (featuring Red Hook Winery on tap — hence the “barrel” part) has already been (sorry) luring them in. If you’ve found it hard to snag a seat, you might want to try stopping in for lunch — service started yesterday. In addition to the lunch and dinner menu that’s served from 11:30 a.m. till midnight on weekdays and till 2 a.m. on weekends (see it here), you can get the following daily sandwiches, priced between $12 and $18 including fries and available till 3 p.m. Brunch starts this weekend; we’ll show you that menu as soon as it’s ready.

Monday- Short Rib Reuben with braised short rib, horseradish, Russian dressing, coleslaw and Taleggio cheese.
Tuesday- Italian Hero with spicy sopressata, Genoa salami, roasted ham, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onion and red wine vinaigrette
Wednesday- Crispy Chicken Club with bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado mayonnaise
Thursday- Meatball Parm Sub with mozzarella and tomato ragu
Friday- Filet Mignon Sandwich with caramelized onions, gruyere cheese and dijonnaise
