According to the Uptowner, Floridita, the Manhattanville longtimer that was forced to close owing to what landlord Columbia claimed were structural issues, has signed a lease for what the University says is an “attractive relocation space,” the exact address of which hasn’t been disclosed. Owner Ramon Diaz says he got a good deal, but is still bummed that he was forced out earlier than he believed fair: “Nobody would be unemployed, we wouldn’t be closed, and we would be given the opportunity to tell our customers that we were moving down the block, does that sound unreasonable?”
