Steve Dolinsky, our favorite list making food personality, has just picked his five favorite bakeries in the city. Bittersweet in Lakeview takes the top spot because “Judy Contino is not only a pioneer among her peers, she also makes the city’s most ethereal rustic apple tart.” Newly opened Floriole comes in at number two. But we are especially impressed that he included Brown Sugar, a South Side cake shop that more people should definitely know about. [Vocalo]
