In plugging Riverpark, Tom Colicchio tells Crain’s that he’s retiring the Craft brand: “I don’t see opening more Crafts in New York City or anywhere else in the U.S. The assumption is that it’s a chain, and that dilutes the brand.” Elsewhere in Colicchio-land, T-Clicks recently got in a Twitter tiff with Gimme! barista Mike White, who mistakenly implied that he was serving Starbucks at Riverpark: White apologized for the misinformation (Colicchio’s restaurants serve La Colombe and Stumptown), Colicchio apologized for calling him a “dick,” and all is well now.
