Cocktail Wars Wage on Tonight at the Ames

For the last several months Woodward at the Ames has played host to industry Cocktail Wars on the last Sunday of every month. To celebrate Boston’s forthcoming United States Bartenders’ Guild chapter, the Ames is holding a special Monday four-way throwdown edition of the bartender battle tonight starting at 8.

Tonight’s special edition, however, counts imported contenders Phoebe Easmon of Chick’s Cafe and Wine Bar in Philly, and John Pomeroy, previously of Hideout in NYC, among the competition. Back from filming yet-to-be-aired On the Rocks, Woodward’s own “English Bill” Codman will make up the Boston contingency, along with Citizen Public’s Corey Bunnewith, previously of Coppa. No cover and free hors d’oeuvres from the kitchen are added incentives to discover which mixologist will deliver. We’ve never been ones to toast the spoils of war, but we can see ourselves making an exception for this.
