The space that formerly housed La Provence (1001 Guerrero) will come alive again soon as the Bold Italic announces the first preview dinners for chef Ian Marks’s new restaurant The Beast & the Hare. Grub Street first brought you news of the project last month, with a November 1 projected date, and now it’s looking like they’re set to open to the public on or around November 10. You can still get tickets for the prix fixe preview on November 9, which is $45 for four courses, with an extra $15 for beer and wine pairings. As noted earlier, the regular menu upon opening will be short, sweet, and cheap, with a price cap of $18 and a season, farm-to-table focus. Also a bonus: they’re joining the trend of serving late into the night, until 1 a.m.
