Ennio & Michael has closed after three decades, as feared. But next door, Astoria burger joint Bare Burger has made good on its plans to open a Village offshoot. Last night, its front deck was graced by budding Fuji apple trees! Like the Astoria location, this one’s vaguely barnlike interior is made from reclaimed and environmentally friendly materials (the lamp shades consist of old silverware, the tables are shaped from dying trees, the bathroom walls are made from cork tiles). The elk, ostrich, and bison meat is organic, grassfed, and free-range, and the cheese and veggies are also organic and hormone-free. Wines are served, as well as beer from brewers like Eel River and Wolaver’s, and delivery ($15 mininum) is from 11 a.m. till 10 p.m. from Sunday through Wednesday, and till midnight during the weekends. Check out the menu below and some quick snaps of the indoor-outdoor space, via our slideshow.
