
René Ortiz, the talented chef behind Austin, Texas’ contemporary Mexican restaurant La Condesa, which was nominated for the James Beard Foundations’ prestigious “Best New Restaurant” award, will be making a guest appearance at Philly’s longest running Mexican restaurant, the venerable Tequila’s, for two special dinners. On both nights (Sunday, October 24 and Monday, October 25) Otiz will prepare a multi-course $55 prix fixe dinner that will highlight his culinary vision, which stands as an internationally-inspired homage to the taste’s of Mexico City’s trendy Condesa neighborhood.
