The water damaged floor situation at Prospect that we heard about earlier this week appears to be worse than everyone first thought, and now chef Ravi Kapur is hoping to reopen by September 11, at the earliest. “It’s very, very disheartening,” he tells the Scoop this a.m. “Right now, we’re just trying to get open as quickly possible and prep for opening day again.” They’re waiting on a supplier to ship them new flooring for the whole bar area, and then there’s installation to contend with, all around Labor Day weekend no less. Looking on the brighter side, the entire staff is probably at the beach today, and not stuck inside like we are.
