Nearing the End of His Tour of Duty, Local Michelin Inspector Compliments SPQR, Sociale

The 2011 Bay Area Michelin Guide is only about a month away from publication, but our local inspector is still tweeting his heart out. He recently enjoyed a “delight[ful]” lunch at Sociale in Presidio Heights, and he did a full tour of Redwood City last month, including a dinner at Crouching Tiger where he “love[d] the Sichuan dishes… the spicier the better!” He assures a fellow twitterer regarding Namu, “Any restaurant in the SF Michelin Guide is a treasure. That’s why most restaurants do not make it into the guide (Namu pg.122),” implying that Namu will return in this year’s guide. And in the same breath offers some fresh praise for SPQR, saying, “we really enjoy what Chef Matt [Accarrino] has been doing there ever since Nate [Appleman] left for the East Coast.” [Twitter, Earlier]
